A Calling, Not a Profession
Families call us because they’re looking for information, reassurance, help, counseling … a lifeline. We tell them they’ve come to the right place. In-home care isn’t a business to us, it’s a calling. That’s what we think all assisted care services should be about.
Assisted Services, Inc. was among the first to offer assisted care in our area, a time when many families didn’t know such services existed. It was before services like ours were licensed. When licensing became a requirement in 2003, we were among the first in our area to get licensed.
Our phones ring constantly with callers who have so many questions … people like you, who sometimes just need a resource, a place to begin, to plan. One of the first things we do after receiving your call is to set up a visit– at no charge. This enables us to offer better insights into your situation … insights based on years of experience and training, about what kinds of services we believe can make a difference in the quality of your loved one’s life.
Personal visits give you an opportunity to meet us face-to-face and get to know us, feel comfortable, and know that we serve with a big heart. And it also helps us be able to match up the best caregiver for your loved one and their situation – should you decide to use our services. We have a lot of information to share and a strong desire to be of assistance in whatever capacity … whenever you need us.
Personal, Adaptable, Compassionate Care
Our services are adaptable, to meet your specific and changing needs. That’s because no situation is the same – and we don’t treat it as if it were. Helping people is personal…. Care needs to be flexible, with the ability to handle unexpected events and changes … with compassion and understanding throughout the process.
Our caregivers are licensed, drug tested, and receive ongoing monthly training. They focus on treating your loved one with excellent care, warmth, and dignity, whether it’s fixing a meal, housekeeping, laundry, driving to the doctor’s office, or sitting down to chat. The very low turnover rate among our caregivers tells us they love what they do and they love working for us. Some of them have been with our company for 10 and 14 years – something you don’t find very often in this industry.
The owner and founder began this business out of love and concern for our elder community. As hands-on administrators, the management at Assisted Services, Inc. have themselves been caregivers and share the philosophy of providing excellence in care. We hire caregivers and other staff who share that view.
Communicating In a Way You’re Comfortable
We’re accessible and accommodating. We do some things the old-fashioned way, but we use technology to better serve our clients.
You can reach us through a phone call, an email or a text message 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have a live scheduling and billing system to keep an accurate record of caregiver arrival, departure and services provided. Plus, it gives us the ability to know where each of our caregivers is at any given moment. This system works great for being able to fill last-minute appointments.
What makes us different? We love working with seniors.
This is more than just a business to us. We treat clients the way we would want our own family members treated by taking the time to build long-lasting relationships. Each day we strive to make a difference in the quality of our client’s lives by enabling them to remain in their chosen environment.
