It's Time To Talk...

You know it's time to talk about bringing in
someone to help when you or your loved
ones notice..

  • The house is messy and not
    maintained in the usual way;
  • Bills are behind or not paid at all;
  • Evidence of falls, such as bruises
    or skin tears with no explanation;
  • Slower movements or an unsteady
    gait when walking;
  • Personal hygiene is neglected; hair and fingernails are unkempt; wearing the same
    clothes repeatedly or inappropriate clothing for the season;
  • Forgetfulness about whether medications have been taken or not. Medications run out too
    soon or not soon enough;
  • A reluctance to leave home, either to go out to visit friends/family or to go to church or
    regular social activities;
  • Afraid to drive or get lost easily in familiar areas; has frequent traffic violations or minor
    accidents. You notice a dent or scratch on the car;
  • Marked weight loss or dehydration. Food spoils in the refrigerator, and fewer trips are
    made to the grocery store;
  • Appliances are left on, doors are unlocked, trash not taken out or mail forgotten;
  • Doctor’s appointments are missed;
  • Confusion about what day it is;
  • Sleeping during the day;
  • Crying about trivial matters.
